CUSTOM EUROPEAN-STYLE 27-KEY ORGUES DE BARBARIE
The "orgue de barbarie" (busker organ) became popular in Europe in the eighteenth century. It was the traditional instrument of organ grinders, and has a delightful sound. It is a wonderful instrument to accompany singing, and is great entertainment. It does not require musical training, only a regular hand motion.
Christian Dardonville and Ingmar Krause will start building 27-key "orgues de barbarie" in January 2010. Please call Christian at 206 361 3955 if you are interested in reserving one.
Prices will start at $ 4000 + tax (these organs sell for over 6000 euros in Europe).
Christian can customize your "orgue de barbarie" to look exactly as you like, using marqueterie, inlays, or paint.
